The French delegate has called on the director of the Lebanese Cabinet to express his government's reaction to the Lebanese delegation's attitude to France at San Francisco. He pointed out that while France did not expect any expression of gratitude, there were certain rules of diplomatic courtesy which there was no point in ignoring. The director told him that neither WADIH nor MALAK had any oratorical talent. He replied that something could have been done to express the thanks of the Lebanese government, both to save WADIH's dignity and to conform to the "convenances".
